Represent welcomes Erin to the team
As Represent continues to expand so too does our team. We are delighted to welcome Erin Bertram in the role of Trainee Account Executive.
With a love of animals and an interest in the countryside, Erin is well placed to work on some of Represent’s food, farming and rural life clients including the Royal Highland and Agricultural Society of Scotland, Royal Highland Show and British Society of Animal Science.
After graduating with a degree in English Literature from the University of Edinburgh, Erin embarked on an epic trip across Australia and New Zealand. Now back on Scottish soil, she is eager to dive into the world of PR and put her writing abilities to good use and produce some amazing results for clients.
What is it that made you want to work at Represent?
“Represent’s passion for PR and digital comms is infectious. Throughout the interview process I just knew that this was the company I wanted to work for. What really appealed to me was their emphasis on weaving creativity throughout the campaigns and their focus on results – it is clear from the testimonials that clients value their expertise which is great to see. Another bonus is that I get to work in Edinburgh again; I’ve been in love with the city ever since studying here at university!”
What is it that appeals to you about working in PR?
“Having studied English Literature at University, I maintain a deep-rooted love of the written word and the way it can be used to connect people who otherwise would have no common link. PR embodies that sense of connection for me and I’m looking forward to working with the talented people in the Represent team to help create a sense of community for our clients.”
What is the last book you read?
“I’ve just finished reading The Winter of the Witchby Katherine Arden. It is a piece of historical fiction inspired by Russian folklore and one that absolutely envelops you in the tale of Vasya, the novel’s heroine. I’d highly recommend it if, like me, you’re partial to a bit of fantasy with a good dollop of gender role-breaking thrown in for good measure.”
Where would we find you on a day off?
“You’d probably find me either out with my friends eating some good food or reclining on the couch knee-deep in a Netflix binge. I also like to get outside and go for hikes in the beautiful Scottish country side, and I’ve always got my eye on my next travel destination, which can range anywhere from Wick to Warsaw!”
The team is delighted to welcome Erin onboard and look forward to seeing her develop into this exciting Trainee Account Executive role.
