Represent expands as we welcome Grainne to the team

As our lists of clients expands, so too does the Represent team – we are delighted to have recently welcomed Grainne Byrne to the team in the role of Account Director.

Bringing with her a wealth of PR experience in devising and delivering international strategies for brands, she has also worked across key design events such as Salone del Mobile and the London Design Festival.

Grainne will be working across clients including The Chippendale International School of Furniture, Changeworks Recycling, Scottish Council for Independent Schools, St George’s School for Girls and STAR Recruitment. We are thrilled to have her join the team at such an exciting time at Represent HQ – find out a little bit more about her in this blog.

What is it that made you want to work at Represent?

“I was attracted to Represent largely due to the positive energy of the team – not to mention the fab offices. I’ve recently come back to work in Edinburgh following a spell away in London and am excited to be working with a range of great Scottish businesses.”

What is it that you love about working in PR?

“I enjoy the variety, as cliched as that sounds. No day is the same and you get to work on a broad spectrum of issues. I love helping businesses achieve their goals and still get excited at seeing my clients in print!”

What would you say has been your career highlight?

“I’ve been lucky to work on some great international projects with leading designers and architects around the world including in Madrid, Milan, and Copenhagen, but the opportunity to work in New York was really fun!”

What was the last book you read?

“I’ve just finished Normal People by Sally Rooney and am now waiting for the release of Adam Kay’s Twas the Nightshift before Christmas – I loved his first book, This is Going to Hurt!”

What do you get up to outside of the office?

“My almost one-year-old keeps my very busy, so I’m currently enjoying seeing the world through the eyes of a small child. You’ll find us out and about checking out the latest exhibitions at the galleries, catching up with friends, at softplay (!), and when time allows hitting the gym.”
