Represent launches new brand identity & website

Edinburgh-based agency enters ‘twenties’ with bold optimism

Represent has launched a rebrand to mark our second decade in business. The new look and tone of voice seek to capture the energy of a new chapter in the firm’s evolution as we continue to grow.

Launched in 2001 as O’Leary PR, the business was renamed Represent in 2016. The agency has since gone on to win awards for its campaign work and leadership approach and has attracted an array of high-profile clients including, George Heriot’s School, Chippendale International School of Furniture, Craigies Farm, and William Purves Funeral Directors.

Created in partnership with Glasgow-based The Drink Cabinet, the new look website, logo, and brand identity seek to represent a forward-looking female-led comms agency, bringing the company’s values of collaboration, accountability, integrity and innovation to the fore.

Represent’s new logo

The new retro-inspired logo design accompanied by a warm and welcoming colour scheme gives a sense of approachability and intuitive creativity. A clever overlap subtly highlights the ‘PR’ but also inspires a sense of connectivity and collaboration. The ‘R’ logo mark device picks up on the idea of connection, bright ideas, and a new dawn.

The colour palette balances warm and welcoming, with bold and confident shades that have authority without stuffiness. Represent’s new family of fonts have been designed by women and were carefully selected to represent females in creative industries.

Speaking about the brand refresh, founder and managing director Judith O’Leary said:
“We are thrilled with our new brand – it is optimistic and energetic yet has a clarity to reflect how we operate. Our colour palette is harmonious to symbolise our collaborative approach, with overlapping letters to illustrate teamwork and a focus on PR.

“Represent is a respected brand that has embraced change and built something very special, despite challenging times. This brand refresh is about building on this and living by the advice we give to clients which is to keep innovating.”

Lauren Stewart, founder and director of The Drink Cabinet said:
“In working with Represent, we came to know a group of strong women with a shared sense of purpose and expertise who loved what they did. We looked to create a brand that spoke to this, and we think we’ve nailed it! We wish the Represent team every success as they enter into their next chapter.”
