Represent dive in to Corporate Coaching with Ros Taylor
Public Relations is all about third-party endorsement, so if we are asking other people to rave about our clients, it’s important that we sample the product for ourselves. Sometimes it’s tasting gin (no complaints here), other times it’s taking on an outdoor adventure (have you every tried zip wiring across a field?) and last week it was experiencing the incredible corporate coaching skills of Ros Taylor.
Named in the Independent on Sundays Top 10 coaches in Britain, Ros is a master of getting to the heart of teams. Using a variety of proven methods (one involved us likening ourselves to a cocktail – prizes for guessing who said ‘Cheeky Vimto’) we were able to identify each of our strengths, creative styles, hidden talents and ways of working. Ros then took these and explained to us how we can work more productively by making all of these attributes work together.
Our favourite part of the session had to be presenting a 30 second ‘advert’ for our own personal brand to each other. Pulling together the results of all the soul searching we had been doing in the session was fun, but blowing our own trumpet, as opposed to that of our clients’, was something that didn’t come easy. But listening to each other’s ‘pitches’, giving encouragement and reminding ourselves what we bring to the table was a wonderful team building exercise, especially when we are about to embark on new adventure with Represent.
Huge thank you to Ros and the team at the Ros Taylor Company for having us!
