Far be it for me to question the ever-fragrant Nicole Kidman, however the decision to dedicate In Hemingway & Gellhorn to the memory of Marie Colvin does have a whif of PR spin.

While Hollywood stars would have us believe they are up to speed on current affairs – we are not always too sure…

Perhaps a good PR had a part to play?

Whatever, it was a masterstroke.  Kidman would have received media exposure anyway, but perhaps not front page – see today’s Sunday Times.

What the link to the hugely respected Colvin delivers is credibility and that’s what every good PR strives to achieve for all her clients.
